Description:
Mr. Moeller was an early Fire Chief in Peoria. He was born July 26, 1841, in Germany and he died September, 1901. He was a meat cutter by trade at his own establishment at the corner of Warner and Lincoln. He joined the No. 4 Volunteers (Firefighters) in 1862. In 1866, he became a foreman, and was second in command. in 1877, he was appointed Fire Chief, a position he held for 17 years.
