In pursuit of its
mission “to preserve and celebrate Peoria’s story!”
the Peoria Historical Society created the Fibber McGee &
Molly Award in 2004. This award is named in honor of
celebrities Jim and Marian Jordan who were born and
raised in Peoria and who earned national fame during the
golden age of radio from the 1930s to the 1950s.
We salute these award winners for
their dedication to cherishing and preserving Peoria's past.
