Peoria History Tours

Explore Peoria, the oldest continuously settled site in the state of Illinois, with one of the many Historical Tours provided by the Peoria Historical Society and their professional, certified tour guides.

From 1850 to Prohibition, the volume of whiskey distilled, aged, bottled and shipped made Peoria the whiskey capital. Learn more during the Roll Out the Barrel Tour

Follow Peoria's history from the naughty (the 1920's, the gambling and gangsters) to the nice (Peoria's four All-American City Awards) with the Naughty to Nice Tour

The Native Americans, the French, the whiskey and earthmoving capital of the world, the grand mansions and Grandview Drive - the River City Tour has it all.

Explore Peoria's premier scenic drive - dubbed the World's Most Beautiful Drive by President Theodore Roosevelt and the oldest chartered cemetary in the state of Illinois while you take a ride on the Grandview Drive and Springdale Cemetery Tour

Follow President Lincoln in Peoria, learn about Camp Peoria and Camp Lyon, and hear stories of our Civil War veterans with the Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War Tour.

Explore the darker side of Peoria as we venture to places where strange sightings and legendary deaths have been reported on the Haunted Peoria Tour.

The 2016 History Tour schedule is available! Tickets are $12.50 and can be purchased online by credit card or at the Peoria Riverfront Museum with cash, check or credit card.
