As a
volunteer-driven organization, the Peoria Historical Society
depends on the work of its volunteers in order to succeed.
Without volunteers, the Society could not provide adequate
manpower to staff its programs within the scope of a
not-for-profit organization. It is, therefore, important
that we recognize and value the contributions made by our
volunteers. In that spirit, the Peoria Historical Society
created the Volunteer of the Year Award in 1999.
We salute these award winners for
their dedication to cherishing and preserving Peoria's past.
